Welcome to the GaDangme Council Website
I am very delighted to welcome you to our website.
The GaDangme Council is in the process of establishing a database of all GaDangme professionals to relentlessly promote networking among GaDangmes, foster investor partnerships, enhance business opportunities and engender mutual support among GaDangmes.
We, therefore, invite all our people to rally around the GaDangme Council to achieve these noble objectives to help build Ghana our nation.

About Us
GADANGME, popularly known as the GaDangme Council, is a non-governmental, non-political and a non-religious organization that was founded in 1999 with three primary objectives; namely:
1. To promote socio-economic development of the GaDangme Region for the well-being of its people
2. To preserve and protect GaDangme lands for development and benefit of the GaDangme people
​
3. To preserve and promote GaDangme heritage as an integral part of Ghanaian culture.


The new Executive is headed by the Hon. Nii Ayikoi Otoo as President of GaDangme Council. Mr. Ayikoi Otoo was Attorney General & Minister of Justice from 2005 to 2006. He was also Ghana's High Commissioner to Canada from 2017 to 2020 and he is a distinguished member of the Ghana Bar.
Hon. Ayikoi Otoo is supported by Messrs. Ayaa Kodjo Armah and E. Oko Adjetey as I st and 2nd Vice President respectively. Other key officers are Madam Ophelia Ablorh (Treasurer) and Mr. Eugene W, AE Armah (Secretary).

HANDING OVER TO A NEW ADMINISTRATION

On Saturday, 14th of January 2023, a handing over ceremony took place to usher into office the new executives of the GaDangme Council.

The in-coming officers are as follows:

GaDangme Council - UPSA Scholarship
The GaDangme Council, in collaboration with the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), is pleased to announce the launch of a fully-funded scholarship scheme for qualified GaDangme indigenes. This scholarship will provide full tuition, application fees, and hostel accommodation for the duration of the programme (undergraduate).

3 New FM Stations for GaDangme
Empowering Community Voices: We successfully secured Provisional Authorisation (Frequencies) to operate three community FM radio stations within the Greater-Accra Region to broadcast exclusively in the Ga and Dangme languages; a major step towards amplifying our voices, preserving our culture, and fostering unity across our communities.
GaDangme Samai - Atuu/Mohee
In collaboration with the GaDangme Upliftment Group we were able to assist them mount GaDangme Sama Atuu/ Mohee backdrops during Homowo and other Dangme Festivals to signify that we also have welcoming words. The President also took part in the sodcutting ceremony for the construction of a new maternity block for Prampram Hospital sponsored by GaDangme Europa Association.The Council met with the Greater-Accra Regional House of Chiefs and also the Regional Minister all in an attempt to explore collaboration in the our forward march.
