About Us
The GaDangme Council, simply known as GADANGME, is a non-governmental, non-political and a non-religious organization that was founded in 1999 with three primary objectives; namely: To promote socio-economic development of the GaDangme Region for the well-being of its people; to preserve and protect GaDangme lands for development and benefit of the GaDangme people; and, to preserve and promote GaDangme heritage as an integral part of Ghanaian culture.
Our Story
The gallant founding leaders and staunch members of the organization first led by the late Mr. K.B. Asante and strongly supported by Prof. Abladey Glover, Mr. Bright Akwetey, Mrs. Melody Slater, Dr. Josiah Aryeh and Mr. Nii Boi Ayibotele etc. did much in pursuit of the stated objectives. Despite challenges in recent years, the GaDangme Council (GDC or Council) has now been revamped under its new leadership.
