GaDangme Council holds a Successful Outreach Program at Osu Presbyterian Church
The GaDangme Council has successfully held a community outreach program at the Osu Presbyterian Church under the theme “Reigniting GaDangme,” bringing together community members to celebrate culture, unity, and wellness.
The program attracted a large and enthusiastic gathering, creating an atmosphere of joy and positive energy as participants reflected on the rich cultural identity of the GaDangme people. The event formed part of the Council’s ongoing efforts to promote cultural preservation, community development, and social cohesion.
Key addresses were delivered by the President and Vice President of the GaDangme Council, Hon. Ayikoi Otoo and Ataa Ayaa Kojo Armah, who spoke extensively on issues of culture, development, unity, and youth empowerment. They encouraged community members, particularly the youth, to remain firmly rooted in GaDangme heritage while embracing opportunities for growth and progress in modern society.
Cultural performances and traditional displays featured prominently during the program, showcasing GaDangme music, dance, language, and storytelling. These performances fostered a strong sense of pride and togetherness among participants. Traditional games, including the Tag of Peace, added excitement and friendly competition, bringing together both the young and the elderly in a shared cultural experience.
A major highlight of the outreach program was a health screening exercise, which provided participants with access to basic medical check-ups and health education. The initiative was well received, with many expressing appreciation for the opportunity to better understand their health status and receive essential health information.
In his closing remarks, the leadership of the GaDangme Council expressed gratitude to all participants, partners, and supporters who contributed to the success of the program. The outreach was described as both educational and impactful, serving as a reminder of the importance of unity, cultural pride, and collective wellbeing within the GaDangme community.
